LOVE this maxi dress! runs big and long!

I love the colors in this dress but I had to exchange for the next size down because it ran big in the arm pit area and was a little long. I am 5' 5" tall and I was stepping on it.

More like a sun dress

Cons: "iron on" strips on bottom
I purchased this dress to wear on a cruise. I had to go down one size and it looks great! The material is thick enough to wear as a sundress. The only thing I don't like is the "iron on" strips around the bottom. I didn't realize it until I got home and I used my Real Women Dollars (RWD) so I will keep it because of the great price (after RWD). What was Lane Bryant thinking when they put the "iron on" type strips on the bottom? It does look good on but I know it wont last long after washing it a few times. I will then wear it as a "house dress' when the bottom start to fade.

I'd recommend you purchase this a size lower than your usual unless you're pretty big busted. I bought this in my normal size and wear a C cup and it's a little flashy sometimes if you know what I mean! Of course my husband's not complaining. haha The dress is beautiful even though the stripes on the bottom are painted on with some kind of thick paint. I don't think anyone's going to complain about that who sees you in it. It flows over your curves and looks really feminine. I would recommend this for almost any shape however it's very long, so keep that in mind if you're a little vertically challenged. I'm 5'9 so I love it! Best of all it can be dressed up or down and used for any occasion. I sleep in it, wear it out (with a good bra), whatever!

Overall I like the look of this dress. The 1 issue I have is the color on the bottom. The colorful stripes on the bottom look like they are ironed on. It feels like the same material that is used to display the names and numbers on sports jerseys. The 2 strips at the top are actual fabric.
