Just size up for elastic empire waist

I know some reviewers had problems with this dress, but I must respectfully disagree. I think the biggest problem is the elastic band that fits a little too tight for the rest of the dress. I've purchased this type of dress before, so I knew to go up one size (I'm apple shaped). Once you've done that, you've got a really cute dress that is flattering. I've worn this with the LB bright pink cami & matching elbow sleeve shrug - a pop of color is too cute with this print! I also plan to wear it with a red cami/shrug combo. I really like the fact that the skirt is lined, so there's no need for a slip. I'm 5'4", so the length hits me right above my knee - perfectly appropriate & flattering. It would have been nice if the pattern continued on the back of the bodice instead of being solid black (why did they do this?) but as I usually wear shrugs with sleeveless dresses, it wasn't a deal breaker for me. The material is lightweight, but since I deal with Texas summers, this suits me just fine. The skirt is lined, so no big deal. I washed this dress on a delicate washer setting in a lingerie bag & hung to dry (I didn't notice any odor, but I always wash stuff or have it cleaned before I wear it the first time). Came out perfect & ready to wear without any ironing or fuss. Great day dress for spring & summer. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I also ordered this dress online. After trying it on i was very disappointed.. The dress is ill fitting and the material very cheap. This dress feels and looks more like a gown or beach wear than a dress.

Disappointment

I ordered this dress online and was very disappointed when it arrived. The dress had an odor to it and the material was of poor quality and stiff. The elastic around was very unflattering and uncomfortable. I will definately be returning this dress. So not worth the price ...
