So Sad Things Worked Out This Way!

I was in need of new work pants and bought these in black. I wore them to work once and they were absolutely adorable with a more form-fitted shirt on top. I felt great all day and was really excited about them. I threw a load of laundry in when I got home, and put these in as well, as directed, and they shrunk terribly! I am so upset because they were so cute. I've never done wide-leg before since I have fuller thighs, but these just fit so well! The material and fit were what made them so awesome. Now I just have black pants that are awkwardly too tight in some places and definitely too short. It's so sad! Sorely disappointed. Wish I'd read the reviews before.

I WISH there had been reviews when I bought these pants.
I JUST washed my pair in cold water and line dried, as on the label, and they shrunk, in length, about 4 INCHES.
They're not just high-waters, ladies, they're gauchos.
I've had plenty of linen before, and never had it act like this.
In fact, I have a pair of linen pants from Lane Bryant from last year, and they didn't shrink like this.
I have no idea what sort of cheap fabric they sourced, but this is not acceptable.
These are going to have to go back.
If you own these, and you want to keep them - Dry Clean Only!

Dry Clean ONLY

I actually really like these pants. Have them in both the black and the natural. YES, they wrinkle. LINEN wrinkles; part of it's charm, so decide if you like that or not.
I have never, ever washed linen of any sort, particulary tailored linen. Perhaps they should mark these pants "dry cleaning recomended," instead.
I'm 5'4" so I had to shorten, but it didn't take long to do by hand. They look great and I've had each cleaned a couple of times--I can get about three half days out of the black and two on the natural. Do need a press between wearings if you want them to look crisp.

like the other reviwers I dont recommednd these pants to anyone that is tall. You wash them and they shrink like crazy. I love the way they looked at first, but not now, I will have to throw them away...Its awful
