Gold metallic long jacket by Isabel Toledo
I had planned on wearing this jacket all year round depending of course on the occasion, , but unless you're planning only on wearing it in the winter, the fabric is too heavy. I definitely will be returning it. If your weather is cold all year round, then this is for you, but not for me! Color is okay though, but noticed some of the threads were starting to pull!

Great Mad Men Style Metallic Jacket
This jacket wasn't for me - a little stiffer than what I was looking for - but it is chic and streamlined, right out of the early 60's. It was also small on top and big on the bottom - the opposite of my particular shape. It would be perfect for someone bigger on bottom than on top, and it is stunning. High quality fabric and construction.

Even better in person - instant classic!
YES YES YES, LB! THIS is what I'm looking for. This is more beautiful in person - the circles are not as pronounced, more neutral tone, and the jacket length will work for petites like me, where it's to the top of my knees, or taller girls.
I had to dock the fit one star because the jacket is cut for a "Sophie" girl - slimmer hips. I'm a "Lena" fit in pants, and while the shoulders and torso are perfect in the 22, I had to go up to a 24 to get the hips to fit - I hope it will fit, waiting on it to be delivered... I think I got the last one in stock, actually. I may have to take it to a tailor, and have them chop off the bottom 3" and add it to the back seam, if I cannot button the bottom button ... fingers crossed.
The jacket is very lightweight, suitable for spring, or cool summer days or evenings when you would wear a shawl/wrap or blazer. It is actually light enough you could wear it indoors in an air-con environment in summer. The fabric is not soft per se, but it's very comfortable and despite the sheen, does not have the scratchiness of most lurex-woven fabrics. Pairs well with jeans and teeshirt, or over a dress.
The tones are more neutral than it appears in the photos.... I would likely not have ordered it from seeing online, beause it almost looks like polkadots - in fact, the circles are mostly neutral tones of beige, gold, cream, and a darker shade of brown. The jacket will work with white pants or skirt if the top is blush or cream or beige, or with any of the camel, brown, taupe, or blush shades popular this season. Some shades of gray will also work with it, but they should not be too dark. The sheen is not really visible when you see it in the lighting online, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't look like evening wear.
Overall, extremely versitile, wearable colors and length for day, office, and evening.
Now, let's hope that my "Lena" hips don't sabotage my designs for this awesome jacket!
